Responsibilities
- The Process Control Engineer will provide high-level systems expertise and apply advanced process control techniques for process optimization.
- Maintain integrity and performance of systems, process controls, plant historian and networks. Provide direct hands-on on-call support on rotating 24×7 basis. Respond to calls for control system hardware malfunctions and repair those malfunctions, including control system processors, control system i/o sub systems and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems. Respond to calls for control system software problems and repair those problems including loop configuration, graphics configuration, and timing issues.
- Respond to calls for problems calibrating or setting up field instruments, valves and motors. Respond to calls for network infrastructure problems and repair those problems, including problems with switches, fiber optic converters, cabling and power distribution. Direct the efforts of other engineers.
- Design, implement and/or program DCS/PLC and other control systems. Develop and implement new additions or enhancements to process control systems within systems standards. Add loops for new instruments in Experion programming systems.
- $110K-$135K. Relocation provided, location is about 1.5 hours from Little Rock.
Requirements
- The Process Control Engineer will have a Bachelor’s degree in chemical or electrical engineering
- A Minimum 10 years of experience as a Process Controls Engineer including experience with protocols, security, and networking. Experience with AB PLC’s and Honeywell (or other) DCS.
- Experience working in a chemical plant, refinery, pulp / paper or industrial gases environment.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and have a stable work history. Sponsorship is not available.
