Environmental Engineer – Corpus Christi, TX

Responsibilities

  • The Environmental Coordinator position is responsible for regulatory compliance at the facility.
  • Defines, maintains and audits programs for environmental sampling, analytical, reporting and associated record keeping for compliance with the facility’s EPA and TCEQ environmental permits.
  • Insuring permit applications and modifications as well as all environmental reporting are completed in a timely manner.
  • Considerable contact with the Operations, Laboratory, Maintenance, Safety, and Management personnel.
  • Establishes liaison with State and Federal environmental regulatory agencies as well as intra-company environmental technical groups.
  • Develops, implements and maintains the environmental sampling, analytical, and reporting system for compliance with the following) EPA and TCEQ environmental permits and provides instruction to Operations, Maintenance and Laboratory groups to implement these systems.
  • Responsible for water and waste management programs as well as EPCRA compliance programs. May also have some air program management responsibilities.
  • Relocation available. $80K-$95K.

Requirements

  • The Environmental Engineer will have a B.S. degree in Chemical, Environmental or other related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience managing water and hazardous waste program in petrochemical or refinery facility.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and have a stable work history.
